Katherine Kesler is founder and President of Interspace Design Group,
a leading interior architectural design firm that specializes in the unique needs of the hospitality industry and upscale residential properties.
Upon graduating from the University of Florida's famed school of architecture, Katherine began her career as a protege of the noted Mr. Harry Backus designing five star restaurants and hotels in Cincinnati.
Next she joined the Holiday Corporation as a senior interior designer and was exposed to a wide variety of projects ranging from Holiday Inns to Crowne Plaza Hotels. She was also selected to serve on the initial design and production team of Holiday Corporations innovative Embassy Suites Hotels brand.
In 1988 Katherine relocated to Coral Gables, Florida to become the Vice President of a top international design firm where she designed and managed some of the most high profile hotel and country club projects in the world.
In the past twelve years she has designed award winning hotels and built an impressive client list that includes flags such as Hilton, Omni, Westin, Double Tree, Radisson, Embassy Suites, and Sheraton's upscale properties known as "The Luxury Collection".
With well over a hundred major renovations of hotel properties from New York to San Francisco and New Orleans to Miami, Katherine has demonstrated again and again her unique ability to adapt to any motif, style, and look a client might prefer.
Recently Katherine has been recognized by Conde Nast Publications as one of the top interior designers in the world. Their popular magazines "Conde Naste Traveler and Conde Nast Portfolio", named Katherine and Interspace Design Group as their interior design firm of choice, and then chose IDG to represent them by designing a ultra - upscale designer show home at 2700 N Ocean Drive on Florida's prestigious Singer Island. Architectural Digest's Charles Allem, and Elle Decor's David Lynley were also chosen by their respective publications to design two additional show homes at the site.
